Orihuela is a monumental city with a historic centre, declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1969, in which churches, palaces and convents alternate. The municipality is one of the largest in the Valencian Community, which means that the proposals it offers to visitors are very wide. This range of possibilities encompasses great contrasts, from arid mountain ranges with their own habitat, to mountains that are home to real forests; from a fertile orchard to rainfed fields, which thanks to the Tajo-Segura transfer have been put into production; Not to be forgotten is the Orihuela coast with its beaches with clean blue waters that have made them worthy of the highest decorations, as well as the golf courses that are an added attraction for fans of this sport. To publicize all these possibilities, different guided tours have been organized.
